Representing innovative solutions to the challenges of tackling inner-city sites with minimal frontages, the Izett building in the heart of Prahran fronts a busy car park and backs onto a narrow community park. With two frontages only, an internal glass-covered light well connected with interlaced bridges provides the circulating spine as well as natural light and ventilation to the rear of apartments. Natural ribbed concrete and timber cladding are combined with fine steel and glass details to provide a rich materiality.
